Canadian artist, Jeremy Roberts is probably one of the finest 3D illustrators on the planet. Below is a portrait of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. It was created using Autodesk 3ds Max, Pixologic Zbrush and Adobe Photoshop.

It's all in the detail. The artist invested a lot of time and effort into the structure of the model as well as the details, like the textures, shaders, and the hair.

Note from Raster Master: The above illustration recently won a 3Dtotal award, and it has been featured on CGtalk and Zbrushcentral. It is also the cover image for the semptember issue of 3Dcreative magazine.
